Hi I don't understand how they did the inverse for this and how 1/54 was made

these are also a few more useful files

#

I am usually pretty good and I understand how to do a b and c

#

I just dont understand how to do the determinats and inverse to end up with that answer

old onyx
#

do you know how to do determinant of 2x2 matrix ?

nimble rune
#

i got the determinant for my 3x3

#

but its 486

#

based on the transition matrix

#

wait im confused

#

I just did the inverse

#

the 1/54 is the factored out

#

wait is that it

#

omg

#

I did it

#

holy shit

old onyx
#

i was just redoing the calcul

nimble rune
#

thank you so much

#

I dont understand where determinants are important for this problem at least

nimble rune
#

to bother u again

#

but I keep getting 5/54

#

instead of -2/9

old onyx
#

okey wait a sec

nimble rune
#

oh my bad 68 not 34

#

thank you

#

I checked my work and im struggling so I genuinely appreciate it

old onyx
#

i did nothing

#

if u need further help lemme know

nimble rune
#

Yeah thank you

nimble rune
#

i do

#

im sorry if this wasn't clear

#

but 34/27 and 5/54

#

are not apart of the answers

#

but I got the -31/9

old onyx
#

aah okey wait

nimble rune
#

so i got 1 out of 3 right

old onyx
#

do you have the cofactor matrix ?

nimble rune
#

i dont

#

do we need that?

#

OH

#

wait

#

hold on

#

wait

#

is the terminiology for inverse wrong

old onyx
#

i guess u just have a small mistake in the inverse

nimble rune
#

oh were u able to reproduce it?

#

this is a nicer example of the inverse I found but 1/54 was taken out

#

regardless it should've ended up with the answer inverse

#

cofactor matrix was relatively new we just learned on monday so i wanted to do it via just an identity matrix

old onyx
#

for me i used the formula 1/det(A) x Adj(A)

#

the adj(A) is the transpose of Cofactor

#

does it make sense so far ? can i continue ?

nimble rune
#

Yeah

#

I was wonder what value did u get for the det?

old onyx
#

1 min i ll share with u my work i ll organise it as i explaine

nimble rune
#

thank youuu

old onyx
#

wait srry i made a small mistake

#

This is cofactor + det

#

I think there is some mistake in the exercise

#

This is the inverse

nimble rune
#

Oooo

#

Okok

#

Thank you so much
