(a+b)(a-b) = a² - b²
Think of applying this identitiy here: x² - 16 = x² - 4²
If seeing so many fractions confuses you, write the numerator (1/x+4 + 1/x-4) and multiply it by the reciprocal of the denominator separately (1/(x/x²-16) + 1/x+4))
