you can split the integral in 2 by rewriting 3x^2 + 2x +3 as 3(x^2 + 1) - x
wait can i show you where i reached
the first integral will then be an arctan and the second is just a du substitution

try rewriting the top function first then it will make more sense whenever you split them apart

basically as soon as you see you cant do a regular substitution think of a way you can write it so that one of your trig substitutions will work

step by step calculators
its hard to find youtube videos that run into the same specific issue as you but the calculators will write it out step by step
