#Can some one help me with this?

My teacher didn't teach us about this and she just gave us this. How do I answer it? Is there a pattern? How do it memories it all?
im extremely doubtful they would make you memorise that, i have forsaken statistics (physics notwithstanding) but its something you reference
My teacher said that i need to memories this or I'm cooked
I dont buy it
they're full of shit
no one in any region of academics would ever expect that from anyone
Yeah I don't know how but what do I thought with this?
in case you're curious, this is a lookup table for the erf() function
Okie thank you
which is just measuring the area of the normal distribution
it's a useful function in statistics because normal distributions are everywhere
and turns out, there is no analytical formula for the erf() function in terms of x
so the best we can do is just calculate erf() for a bunch of values of x, and just refer to the table whenever we have a normal distribution
which is exactly what that sheet is for
I didnt know erf took in complex values
oh yeah, the normal distribution is just the real slice of a complex function
but for all intents and purposes you shouldn't need to know that
We don't know like the entire class has no clue what to do with it because the teacher only said to memories it and look for patter for the upcoming test
that's fucking insane
not really
