Hi guys, I would like to know, Why is the cube root defined on [0, +∞]?

dont put an ] on infinities also

oak edge

It would be because all negative numbers do not have a square root in the real numbers. However, that function is defined on complex numbers, but I suppose I would not be important to you.

You could also test yourself if you could try to put a negative square root into your calculator it will give you an error, but perhaps a better explanation is how try to think of a number multiply to itself to get -4. It is not possible with real values so it is therefore undefined.
