What is the “hidden length” ?
I need to find the length of YC
show that $$\triangle CRM \cong \triangle CYW$$

If the triangles are similar, then that means the ratio between every side of the triangle is the same. It’s as if ΔWYC is scaled down by a constant value from ΔMRC
If you know the scale factor between MR and WY, you can find the scale factor between RC and YC
to put it simply $$\frac{MW}{CW}=\frac{MR}{YC}$$

What was your work process
WY = 6
MR = 14
You can find the scale factor by doing MR ÷ WY
The result from that gives you the multiplier of all the sides of ΔMRC in comparison to ΔWYC
14 is x times larger than 6, or
6 • x = 14
