i think they're just too used to pupils not wanting to understand anything. most of them just want to get shown how it's done so they can pass the exam and forget everything after.

doesn't seem to be true for most people. the majority of my classmates just try to minmax exams and teachers mostly design exams where you rarely have to think but just memorize. and many classmates get irritated if an exercise in whichever subject can't be solved by memorization. i don't know why someone would design such a school system. i just wanted to be sure that wouldn't have ti deal with it in university
