#How to solve without derivative?

this is what I did assuming a derivative
y=1
set derivative f(2x)=ff(x)
set y=0
f(0)-f(x)=x^2
I've also tried integrating into using derivatives, which is the swapped order
try x = 0 y = t, and x = t, y = 0
how would this help?
