I've figured out how to solve this assuming a derivative exists, but I'm supposed to solve it without derivative and then prove it has at least one point.

this is what I did assuming a derivative

y=1
set derivative f(2x)=ff(x)
set y=0
f(0)-f(x)=x^2

I've also tried integrating into using derivatives, which is the swapped order
