For them to use their neurons

#

They need to

steep lance
#

Agreed

fluid bough
#

Wasting 2 hours on a simple derivative is wild

#

You do multivariable cal?

steep lance
#

I don't think so.

#

I do know basics of vectors

#

But no complicated integrals

fluid bough
#

It's like find the gradient of w=(x^2)-2zy+yz^x

#

You just take a partial differencial of each variable to find the gradient

steep lance
#

I'd be able to partially derive it, without proper logic though

#

I've not theoritically covered multivariable

fluid bough
#

Fair enough

Good person

half pelican
#

is the answer b?

fluid bough
#

Do you know how to confirm your answer?

half pelican
#

yea sure

#

so I used the chain rule where u' (x) is found using the quotient rule

#

and then i got 7x^e/x^6+9

#

then u'(x) = (7e multiplied by x^e-1)

#

x^6+9

#

subtracted by (7x^e)(6x^5)/(x^6+9)^2

#

and then i simplified everything

#

and it gave me the answer that matches option b

#

so it should be that correct?

fluid bough
#

Yup

#

If you're sure it matches up

#

You can calculate everything

#

You just don't know the steps in order to do so

half pelican
#

can you please confirm thats the right answer with me?

#

i dont want to get the question wrong or anything

#

im like 90% sure thats the right answer but who knows

#

i could be wrong

fluid bough
#

Sure

#

Give me a sec

half pelican
#

yea no problem, take your time

fluid bough
#

I'd say you're good

half pelican
#

I got it wrong

#

shoot

#

i have one more attempt to get it right

fluid bough
#

It's either F or the last one

#

I'd say F though

#

Waitactually

#

Giveme asecond

half pelican
#

okay sounds good, i really want to get the questionr right

#

thank you

fluid bough
#

I got E

#

You can check

#

I computed the d/dx of it

#

And it was the closed

#

closest

#

It's the reason I picked the wrong answer before

#

I was differentiating at 2

#

And it is partially discontinued at that point

half pelican
#

E okay

fluid bough
#

If it's wrong I am quiting life

half pelican
#

no youre good lol

#

its fine

#

ill just double check with uday

#

@steep lance

#

is the answer e?

half pelican
fluid bough
#

Ye

#

I graphed all the others with the derivative and they didn't match

#

Just double check

#

here you go buddy

half pelican

Okay, thank you so much!
