Because the 4 digit string can be either at start and last one will vary 40 times, or at the end and first one will vary 40 times

I honestly still have no clue for the second one like im thinking to do 5P4x35C1/40P5 but that doesnt make sense either since the last number wouldnt be a winning number? My brain isnt working

My teacher explained it to me but he left it at "35x5/40P5, but we also need to consider the fact that if it starts with any other number than the winning ones, you'd still have a winning combo"
