Solved

Post marked as solved by @shy pawn.

Use .unsolved if this was a mistake.

Forgot I can do that :P

What happened to the question?

You can treat that as a circle with A as it's center

#

All point B C and D are on the circle

gleaming ermine
rapid ether
#

You don't know that a circle is a set of points that are within an equal distance from a point?

#

Drawing anything from the center of a circle to the circle would always be equal in length
Something called radius

Using the thing in my mind would solve it in a matter of 2 steps actually

Wait I thought that this is a 2D shape not 3D

gleaming ermine
lavish anchor
#

The shape is 2D?

gleaming ermine

#

Oh sorry

rapid ether
#

Do you know about circumference angles and center angles of a circle ?

gleaming ermine
#

this is what the solution be but i i don’t understand it

rapid ether
#

Okay
That would be a bit hard
But if you used them
There is a therom that says that for any point of the circumference of a circle connected to other 2 points on the circle making an angle, that angle would be called a circumference angle
It would always be half the value of the angle of the center angle that faces the same arc
Putting that into perspective
Circumference angle = 140
Center angle = 2*140 = 280
Angle BAD = 360-280 = 80

I bet you didn't understand a letter from it

gleaming ermine
gleaming ermine
rapid ether
#

Ok

#

He used the isosceles triangle therom

#

Like if you have a triangle with 2 equal sides
The angles of the base of the triangle would be equal

gleaming ermine
rapid ether
#

So he applied that for the 2 triangles
Called the angles of one triangle A
And the other triangle B

#

He found that A + B would be equal to 140

gleaming ermine
rapid ether
#

Because of that middle angle

gleaming ermine
rapid ether
#

Ok
Then the other 2 angles combined are also 140

#

Makes sense too right?

gleaming ermine
gleaming ermine
rapid ether
#

Because it is A + B also

gleaming ermine
#

make sense

rapid ether
#

You also know that the sum of the angles of any 4 sided polygon is 360

gleaming ermine
#

my bad

rapid ether
#

Ok so you have all the angles values except one
And you have the sum of all the angles
So you just say
360 - 140*2

gleaming ermine
#

still thinking

rapid ether
#

You know that these all together are 140+140 = 280

gleaming ermine
#

right

rapid ether
#

And you want to know the angle of this

#

The whole thing is 4 sided polygon

#

So this angle summed to the other angles should give you 360

rapid ether
#

And you know that the other angles combined are 280

gleaming ermine
#

okaaaaaaaay

rapid ether
#

So BAD = 360 - 280

gleaming ermine
#

thank you so much

#

your the best
-my friends watching the share screen said

rapid ether
#

We got to know the value of a BAD grading which is 80 degrees
Before GTA 6 LOL
