take the derivative of P(t) first.

#

ii. think of ARC (average rate of change) formula

#

iii. think of the definitions of a derivate.

#

is it E?

ruby mist
#

no

#

$\frac{P(b) - P(a)}{b-a}$ is the average rate of change formula

P'(1) asks for the derivative of P(t) at t = 1... and part i ask if it is between t = 0 & t = 1

#

you find the arc for part i, which allows you to answer ii as well

#

use the original definition of a derivative for part iii

#

i recommend you try this question again if you did not understand

cosmic minnow
#
