What value of f(x) do you approach just before you hit x = 4, from the left side?

If it says lim x->4- , you want to look at where x = 4 is, then look at the value just to the left of it
i.e. something like x = 3.99999999
When you look at the graph of f(x), the graph goes to the value 3, then jumps to value 4
thats where i got that f might be one originally but hm now im confused
