I dont understand how they got 7/6x
am I just not seeing something
what step don't you follow?
X/6 and 2/6 are the same denominator already?
yes they both have 6 in the denominator. You can write it as: (x+2)/6 but a fraction looks better when it has one number in the nominator.
You can write it as x/6 + 2/6
That 2/6 can be simplified to 1/3
denominator means number under the fraction, they both are 6, you see?
