how is this "1.8 - 3.2 " -1.4 and not -2.6 ?

its so simple but yet i cant understand why it is -1.4?

1.8 - 3.2
first you 1.8 - .2 wich is 1.6 then you just do 1.6 - 3 wich would be -2.6 but every calculator says otherwise
i know i might sound dumb but i really need someone to explain what the hell is going on
