Well to be honest the dead giveaways are the last two terms. More specifically, their denominators

i did the diff and then replacereplaced y with y^-2 in the given expression and then whatever terms came i trtried to replace y^-2 with y again but i got stuck

#

was what i did correct?

In that case, since the last two terms are squared, the y^-2 and the square cancel and thus those terms remain unchanged

#

The first term, on the other hand, doesn’t have anything to cancel the ^-2 so it does change since y ≠ y^-2

How do -2 and 2 cancel? It will become -4 right

#

Hi think the ques mustve been y-2 oonly cuz only then will the ewuation be unaltered at y=1

I'll ask the teacher once
