you get y + 17 = x
y + 3 = z
x + y + z = 77
you have x and z in terms of y,so you can substitue in the last equation and solve for y

not gonna lie its way easier if you just imagine gina is x and if kamal is 17 years olders than gina then kamal is x + 17 and rachelle is 3 years older than gina so rachelle is x + 3 then you just sum it all up and its 77 and you need to solve for x only. thats the easiest way

3x = 57
x = 19
