You probably multiplied 8 * 45, that's 360, then put the decimal, making it 0.8 * 45, but forgot to remove a zero

Another way would be to directly multiply it
0.8 * 45 = 0.8 * (40 + 5) = 0.8 * 40 + 0.8 * 5
0.8 * 40 = 8 * 4 = 32
Now 0.8 * 5 = (8 * 5)/10 = 4
So 32 + 4 = 36
I don't think the year 4 will understnad that

Overall the more straightforward way to answer this question is to multiply 52 * 3/4
Since 45 minutes is 3/4 of an hour
WHY I am multiplying 5 on both sides
"We want to get 35g on the right side, because the question asks how many scarves we can buy with 35 gloves. So what do we do to get 35g instead of 7g on the right side (maybe let the people think for a second) -> We multiply both sides by 5!"
Maybe for 4) it would be more visual to some kids if you say "Ok, I have 7 gloves, I get 4 scarves. Now let's say I have 14 gloves. How many scarves do I get? 8, because I can do this twice. Now I have 21. Then I get 12, ..."

Because for some questions, I was able to ask them what is 1 of something and they would get it. I couldn't do it with this question though

Well you can ask "what of a fraction is one glove of a scarve?" and then you get 1g = 4/7s, but not sure how visual that is..
And that could motivate the multiplying by 5 on both sides

So here, maybe make an example, like if the smaller square has area 3, then the larger square will have area 8. If the smaller square has area 6, then the larger square will have area 16 and so on
So we have a way of telling what the area of the large square is if we have the area of the small square
The small square has side lengths 6, so its area is 6 * 6 = 36
So, motivating it by this, we have 36:96
So the area of the larger square is 96.

Basically you draw the units out
So 5 cauliflowers and two Rock melons
And then they also include the fact one rock melon is two cauliflower units
Then they can see 22.50 is the price of 9 cauliflowers
And just do 22.50/9
