The answer is e according to me. Because angle A can vary as it pleases. And all the conditions would still be satisfied. There is no rule of congruency being followed in triangle ABC or ADE.
I would agree, but now i think that answer is (c), because i forgot to assume that can be DE//BC. I disagree due to angle A gonna be common for ABC and ADE in all cases and we just can switch angles D and E making DE // or anti// to BC
I think its better to ask @tired pivot which answer is correct.
Hi guys, I had only 2 attempts for this question.
I tried the answer (D) and (E) for this, but they were both incorrect. I am still not sure what the correct answer is, but I am going to ask my teacher tomorrow.

For triangles ADE and ABC to be similar we need:-
AD/AC = AE/EB
think about it

and also you can make ED parallel to BC for AA similarity

yes both ways you can have SAS similarity thats what my teacher taught us. Im pretty sure this question may have a empty answer key which is sometimes why the inputted answer is wrong.

I think I figured it out, the answer is 2 because we can have 2 SAS similarities. AD/AC = AE/AB or AD/AB=AE/AC. There is no parallel case because when AD/AC = AE/AB, the side AD corresponds to AC. This means that angle ADE = angle ACB and by the converse of corresponding angles are congruent, ED is already parallel to BC.
If we change angle D and E, B and C angles will change automatically. I don't think A being common makes any difference because there is no congruency there for the same triangle, say ABC, when we change the angle A

I steel don’t get your thoughts, we have two fixed sides of triangle and fixed point D and we can move point E changing only angles E and D, so, if E=B than D=C automatically, due to A is common and if E=C than D=B by same reason.

I know D and E is fixed but the angle is not. If angle A of the smaller triangle is varying then the angle A of bigger triangle will vary accordingly.

I meant E differently depending on DE and i checked on Geogebra, so, there is only two points E
