do you know parametric coordinates of a circle

if you have x^2+y^2=a^2

then you can put x=acosθ and y=asinθ

or you can just drop a perpendicular from the point and find the coordinates of that on x axis

and you alr know length of hypotenuse

so when you divide you get the cos of angle
