Hello
So you need books
Prealgebra by mcgraw hill is best one
Also everything you need to know in prealgebra and algebra 1
And forgotten algebra
@gleaming mulch also study in professor Leonard youtube channel
He post best videos
For algebra or prealgebra
Use chatgpt for questions
People might say it was bad but I was good
As my experience I saw chatgpt is best part of my life
@deft nimbus Okay, got it... Any recommendations for geometry and linear algebra?
Idk about them
Thanks for the recommendations...
with all respect i dont recommend what Astromath said
"what is the slope of the tangent line then googling what is slope and what is tangent line" im assuming youre referring to derivatives
i dont think its necessary to redo prealgebra even if you want to ""redo"" it all
algebra 1 topics are so intuitive you could probably start at geometry
?
what are you questioning for? thats the definition of a derivative
that math are you in @deft nimbus
I see
Algebra is more important then geometry
yeah algebra 2 is after geometry in national curriculum lol
And if you think redo is more time waste, it shows why your still dumb
?? how old are you? you are asking for an algebra 1 book in another question
I'm referring to algebra 1 and prealgebra
so im assuming youre in middle school
why are you offering recommendations to people that need to fulfill their PHD if you do not even know algebra 1?
i mean no offense but this is serious stuff man
@opal rose if you couldn't give a suggestion to this man it's better shut and don't criticise others
He said "he have to go through basics again"
And studying algebra 1 doesn't mean I can't give suggestion
At least im giving one
Lol
this is true
but i also gave one
i offered for him to start at geometry rather than prealgebra
I gave suggestion as my experience where I studied prealgebra in 4 weeks with those
You need to know prealgebra before studying geometry
if hes a sophomroe in college he knows prealgebra
Because to problem solve most of things in geometry you need knowledge of prealgebra
He mentioned he want to know basics
basics given his occupation is higher than prealgebra
a college baseball player doesnt need to relearn how to throw a ball
@opal rose he told he have to go from basic through english
He doesn't wanna miss a single topic
ok if he wants to learn how to count apples and his times tables he can be my guest ðŸ˜
Revisiting topic will make you understand better then you learned before, and you could also learn things that you missed on them
@deft nimbus @opal rose
My mistake, I should have explained properly about what the basics I wanna learn. I struggle in a lot of things like Geometry, Permutations and Combinations, probability, Integration etc. By basics I meant I wanna know the all the things I need to know about Circles, Triangles, Quadrangles, what permutation is actually, when should I use the formula of combination instead of permutation, What are the formulas of probability, how it came from etc. I know them in my language also I missed some of them but now I have to learn all of them in english. If I solve a Geometry Theorem in my native language just translating in English, it wouldn’t work. I need a book name or course recommendation that explains these high school maths (8th grade to 12th grade) very well. Talking about Higher levels I need a book that explains Linear Algebra simply, A calculus book that will give me all the small details, I also need a book recommendation for Fundamental of mathematics. Now studying in English version will be tough because I've always studied in my native language. I know a lot and I don’t know a lot as well. I can't use my Native language in my final exam. My goal is I wanna be good in English plus Complete the basics as well.
Use permutations when there are restrictions here give an example
Now I'm no good at probability but I know some key basics
Giving an example? "Modified Vessel", in how many different ways we can arrange that name where the vowels wouldn't change its positions?
just do the amount of letters in their factorial and then divide with the vowel's factorial
If I'm not mistaken...
14!/6!
yeah, where did that formula came from? why I divided? IDK
It's prob incorrect but it's important to understand the intuition
It came from some type of formula however it is important to divide since there are restrictions
If your concerned about how the nPk stuff works you can search up a tutorial really
Yeah, I can do that but It would be great if I had a book which have these high school math topics explained with all the things I need to know.
Hmm
With the English language
Yeah
You can prob use the probability principles in AOPS
It has introduction to probability and statistics covers a wide range of topics
But you needed help on linear algebra?
Like to what extent
Are u stuck on transformations
Yes sir, I know nothing except computing them
Or smth
I struggle a lot in it
Does he have any course?
Idk and also what is a sample question from your linear algebra course
which book would help someone the most who wanna learn it in a beginner level?
Now that imma ask my friend
Don't know a lot about linear algebra books that are high quality
It doesn't feel great now, for my whole life I dealt with mathematics like memorize the formula apply them, get numbers in exam and forget it...
