You just see if have common factors
Like in a cross way
You just list common factors of them
And get greatest one
And divide it
By that greatest
You can also just take your final result and multiply it by 52 on the calculator
This gives the numerator if the denominator is supposed to be out of 52
If x=y/52, then y=52x
He doesn't want to use calculator
He explicitly wants to do it with a calculator if I'm reading the question correctly
Also looking back at the question 26/52 *4/52 is not the correct way to approach this probability wise
This is just a fluke for the most part from this specific problem
There are 4 kings and half of them are red
So there are 2 red kings
But there would be no way to get P(red and king) from P(red) and P(king) without having more knowledge about the structure of the deck
You don't compute 2/52 in this problem at all
This just needs you to know the card composition of a deck of cards
