#Find hypothenuse of right triangle

I have the measure of one side of the right triangle,4. I know the area Is 8.

I need to find the square of the hypothenuse.
To do so I can use pythagorean theorem, but I need the other side of the triangle.

From the area information I can get that the height Is 4.

I tried to express the second side as a function of the height but I get and identity when I substitute intro the pythagorean formula

You ought to consider the two sides of the right angle

Why Bad idea
Because if you use that height , you cant directly use the given of the exercise

But if you use the Good idea, you can directly use the "4" side

#

And deduce the other one
