I am getting a difference answer from what the solution says. I am sure its soemthing simple but I can't seem to find it. I am also not sure if I did the tests correctly. Any help is appreciated 🙂

So you do the ratio test without the x^n

#

Also when you do 2^n / 2^(n+1) then the 2 is left in the denominator, not numerator

#

Then you would get |x| < 2

sorry another question

#

i did the ratio test with 2 plugged in and got 1 after evaluating the limit

#

which means the test was inconclusive

#

how would i be able to say (-2,2) despite it being inconclusive

dont use the ratio test twice, because you get the same result both times

#

after you plug in 2 or -2, you need to use different tests to see if the series converges or diverges

#

usually you can just do the divergence test
