its the equation of a line in three different formats
all of these forms will end up giving you the same line if you graph them
so for the first one the m is the slope
which will be the same m in the second form
b in the second form is the y-intercept
standard form generally does not contain the slope or intercept but you can find it using the slope-intercept form

Yes, they can be beneficial for different things which is why there are different formats
Like obviously the 1st one tells the y intercept. The 2nd the gradient and the last one, I guess simultaneous equations

y=mx+c you kknow m so then you input y and x
well they gave you the gradient so you want to see which form makes u need to do the least working out
so in this case the given is the point and the gradient, therefore point slope is the best for getting it?
yea because you know y, m and x and only need to work out c
where in the point form u need to times h by the gradient
and standard form is usually never in a qu where im from unless u go into different sections of maths

all those are the same thing so they technically all have the same purpose
I see, I was confused while looking on some practice quizzes online, like some of them doesn't convert it to that form, thankfully some people in the algebra channel taught me to format it that way
