On the left side try factoring 5^x

Well since you have 26 on both side you can divide both sides by 26

Leaving you with

5^(x) × (5^2 + 1 ) = 26 × 5^(-3)

5^(x) × (26) = 26 × 5^(-3)

After dividing both sides by 26 you're left with

5^x = 5^(-3)

So x=-3
