you can use the distance formula to find a boundary line where both points are equidistance and then use the different areas to determine the probability for the number 7 ones
just as an example for part a you can find that the line y=-x+6 is the line where all points are equidistant from (0,0) and (6,6)
okay so what i understand is that i can graph the line and it will basically separate the total space into 2 parts right

so for part a of Q11 you should think about what condition point O has to satisfy in order for triangle ABO to have an area of 15/2 or greater
for example one such triangle occurs when O is at point C
or when O is at point D
since area of a triangle is 1/2 (base*height) the only triangles that take up half the area are triangles with base 5 and height 3
also keep in mind that the probability that point O will fall on a specific line in the rectangle is 0
since we're working with continuous data
Q11 part b pretty much a combination of the area problem from before AND Q11 part a
