i know how to find the area of a pentagon if i have a radius, how do i find the radius?

There's 5 sides, so 5 equal angles... so 5 equal isoleces triangles sharing the middle point. Each angle must be thus 360/5 ... and you have each side given as 7 inches. Then bisec one of the triangles to make a right triangle (which bisecs the angle too)... then use trig to solve for this biscing length... now you can figure out the area of each triangle and thus the total area of the pentagon.

Think your final total area expression ends up = (3.5/sin (36)) x 7 x 5
