Presumably f(x) = 2x+1
Oh yea sorry I keep forgetting to show the original question
not me wondering what the actual heck was going on lmao
haha mb
ok
got it
in order to reach the line u pointed u need to do f(3x+1)
do you know how to do f(3x+1) ??
dw
wdym "do"
like, elaborate f(3x+1)
its like when you get f(2)
u just substitute the x
so
if you had f(2)
u would elaborate it as:
2(2) +1
right?
here is the same
yeag
now, elaborate f(3x+1) and you will get your answers
would it now then be:
3(2) + 1
no
look
f(x) = 2x+1
f(2) = 2(2) +1
you substitute the x with whatever it is in the parenthesis
so you subsitute x with f(x)?
for example
if you had f(2x)
u substitue x as 2x
look:
f(2x) = 2 (2x) +1
u see that?
yeah
well, now elaborate f(3x +1), same moves
its a bit wierd though, would you not use a different variable cause your implying that 2x = x
3(2x) + 1
x is just a placeholder in f(x) = 2x
so whatever you put in parenthesis you replace it with x
f(3x+1) = 2(3x+1) +1
:DDDD
f(⭐) = 2 ⭐
now, u shall continue your lines
clever way to explain it
thank u
np !
remember, should you reach the answer you wanted, close the thread
how
wait nvm
