topic: Systems of linear equations

answers:

A.) y = 2/5x + 3/-5
m = 2/5
b = (0, 3/-5)

B.) 10y = 4x -6
y = 4/10x - 6/10
y = 2/5x + - 3/5
m = 2/5
b = (0,-3/5)

#

so is my b in B.) correct?

vivid yarrow
#

why is b equal to like a point?

fresh wind
#

and if yes then does it mean its an Inconsistent system?

liek you say b=(0,-3/5)

#

but b is a constant

#

it should not be like equal to (x,y)

fresh wind
#

because we graph it

#

ok i dont get what u mean by that

#

sooooooooooo

#

is my b in B.) correct?

$$10 \cdot -\frac{3}{5}=4 \cdot 0 -6$$
$$-6=0-6$$
$$-6=-6$$
I would dare say your b fullfills the equation in B).

ha?

#

so we get the slop and the y intercept

#

doing the y first in graphing to set an origin then use the slope

#

then draw a straight line from the new origin to the slope

#

we use

Consistent Dependent System if the slope and y intercept from the 2 linear equation is the same and when we graph it, it would result in an overlapping line.

Consistent Independed System if the slope and y intercept from the 2 linear equation is different and when we graph it, it would result in an intersecting line.

Inconsistent System if the slope from the 2 linear equation is the same but the y intercept from the 2 linear equation is different and when we graph it, it would result in a parallel line.

so im not sure if that answers your question
