Well step one is to write down what sin theta, cos theta and tan theta are

#

as in like sin theta = opp/hyp = 24/59

#

yeah then the way to undo sin cos and tan is just using the inverse

#

the way to understand what sin cos and tan are doing is
sin is a function that takes an angle and returns some ratio of lengths
likewise for cos and tan
you can undo this via sin^-1 or arcsin or whatever your school calls it
so for instance sin (30 deg) = 1/2, whence 30 deg = arcsin (1/2)

#

assuming the angle is in some range but thats the gist

#

you could do
[
\sin\theta = \frac{AB}{BC} = \frac{24}{59}, \text{ whence } \theta = \arcsin\frac{24}{59} \approx 24.002698\deg
]
or something

#

then repeat for the rest

#

ye

#

no cause that would defeat the purpose of the question

#

you can use paper

#

or just type without the bot

tiny dagger
#

and liekwise for cos and tan

#

with the numbers suitably changed of course

#

then you will have to edit it to suit your means, i am not in school so i wouldn't know what the teacher expects

#

at the very least the content is there

#

use \[ and \] instead of [ and ]

#

weird

#

noah

\[
\sin\theta = \frac{AB}{BC} = \frac{24}{59}, \text{ whence } \theta = \arcsin\frac{24}{59} \approx 24.002698\deg
\]

#

you will need to rmb
what is the definition of sin theta

#

ye

#

the qn asks for all three

#

no,

#

the ratios are different

#

rmb your soh cah toa

#

that tells you what sides to take

#

where's your calculation

past knotBOT
tiny dagger
#

should be 54/59

#

and rmb to change the right side

past knotBOT
tiny dagger
#

54 is AC, not AB, and you aren;t using arcsin anymore but arccos

past knotBOT
tiny dagger
#

er

#

yes

#

need to 3dp

#

theta is arccos 54/59 not srcsin

past knotBOT
tiny dagger
#

ye

#

now do for tan

#

rmb to 3dp everything as per qn

past knotBOT
tiny dagger
#

ye

#

theres only one theta
all three lines should result in the same ans

#

as it should be

#

its ab/ac

past knotBOT
tiny dagger
#

24/54

past knotBOT
tiny dagger
#

ye

#

use a calculator

#

qn says to do it for all of them

#

ye

#

need to change to 3dp

#

but otherwise yes

#

3 decimal places

#

yeah then just append a = 24.002 (3d.p)

#

ye]

tiny dagger
#

Is 24.002 not close to 24

#

Wut

tiny dagger
#

hmm
i wonder if its because its rounded to 24.003

#

yeah thats probably why then

#

oof

#

qn asks for 3 dp

#

26 rounds off to 3

#

so i assume its 24.003

#

er

#

should be theta = arcsin 24/59 = 24.003

#

all

#

yeah as in, what you literally wrote is 24/59 = 24.002

#

which is definitely wrong
i said arcsin 24/59 = 24.002

#

not 24/59 = 24.002

past knotBOT
tiny dagger
#

yeah theta = arcsin(24/59) = 24.002
24/59 and arcsin(24/59) are not the same thing

#

arcsin(24/59)

#

which you can press in the calculator

#

to get your 24.0026... then you round off to 3dp

#

yea

#

cause there is only one angle

#

ye

#

you can, or you can always ask a friend
i think math is much easier to learn when you do it with friends
