#how does my teacher get the third step; y = Ce^(x^2+2x) ?

i dont understand why C isnt in the exponent with x^2+2x
and is instead on the outside
they should've used something different to C
sum to product exponent law
e^(x^2 + 2x + C) = e^C * e^(x^2 + 2x)
e^C is a constant
ideally they should've use something like
C', C_1 or D etc
| e^C is a constant
this is definitely why he just put C
thank you
