What have you tried

#

we are assuming n is a constant right

remote wagon
#

i didnt really tried, i dont find any solution

tardy shore
#

Maybe try a u substitution

remote wagon
#

i found this, but didnt really helped

tardy shore
#

This a little bit more complicated

#

Do you know the binomial theorem?

remote wagon
#

yes

#

u mean (a+b)^n?

tardy shore
#

I think you should do a u substitution and use the binomial theorem

#

Yes

remote wagon
#

newton?

tardy shore
#

Yes

remote wagon
#

i dont really understand how to substitute so i can use later the binomial

tardy shore
#

what if you do u=x-1

remote wagon
#

so will be

#

((t+1)^n)/t

#

or "u" as you said

tardy shore
#

Yes

#

same thing

remote wagon
#

yea

tardy shore
#

I learn to use u in school but anything works

remote wagon
#

yea we use t

tardy shore
#

Now expand binomial theorem

remote wagon
#

should I write as (t+1)^n * 1/t

#

and expand

tardy shore
#

Ok

remote wagon
tardy shore
#

Yes now distribute t

#

then integrate

remote wagon
#

how should i integrate this

tardy shore
#

Why is the bound from 0 to 1

#

Well what is integral of t^n

#

dt

remote wagon
tardy shore
#

it is t^(n+1)/(n+1) is it not

remote wagon
#

yea

#

thats the formula

tardy shore
#

So you can integrate

#

with t^n-1 and t^n-2 etc

remote wagon
#

and what about the combinations

#

i just write em before the integral?

tardy shore
#

Yes

remote wagon
#

oh ok

tardy shore
#

It's a constant

remote wagon
#

yes

tardy shore
#

I think

#

I think bounds are 2 and 1 no?

remote wagon
#

i think

tardy shore
#

Yes and you put 2 and 1 and calculate

alpine hemlock
#

Ig n is natural right? Divide the polynomials for n>1 for n=1 is easy to solve

remote wagon
alpine hemlock
#

You dont know how to divide polynomials? Is like divide numbers by hand, the same algorithm

#

For example if you have x^2/(x-1) then by doing the division you get (x+1)+1/(x-1)

#

And its more easy to solve that integral

somber saffron
#

If yall aint in a university yet what is this question for?

alpine hemlock
#

The question is solve that integral Paius posted

#

Well at least guide him a bit

somber saffron
#

Yeah he has a tag saying he’s not in a university

alpine hemlock
#

So ig is for curiosity

remote wagon
#

i am in highschool

#

but I have a integral and this integral is part of my homework

alpine hemlock
#

Oh

remote wagon
#

and i do not have any idea

alpine hemlock
#

I gave you a hint

#

And no, Im not gonna solve it to send it to you. Thats not the purpouse of the server

alpine hemlock
# remote wagon

But you already solve it using a change of variables and Newton formula for (t+1)^n

#

Its more clear and quick by that way

remote wagon
#

i am re-doing it

#

1 sec
