With your reasoning, you cannot assign a single value, that's why it is indeterminate

Anything divided by 0 is undefined. 0/0 is no exception. 0*x=0 means that x is indeterminate, but not that x=0/0.
you cannot go from 0/0 = x to 0 =x*0
If you multiply both sides by 0, it remains indeterminate
0*(0/0) = x*0
