Probability of red red P("red red") is the product of their paths
so do i need to multiply first crossing red and second crossing red or?
yes
aight ill do it and ill thell u what it says
so i got 1 over 6
and its inccorect
where did u get 3/4?
how did you get 1/6?
no
yea here you got different probabilties
The probability that both show red is 5/6 * 1/5 = 5/30 = 1/6
maybe it's in percent?
or you need tor round or something
nah it says as a fraction
maybe it only says simplify
simplest form 1/6
so thats fraction
lol i need to try and get this or messege my maths teacher to fk off
haha
so it should be 1/6
yes
you wanna make me question my life decisions
If the same principle doesnt work, then something is off
🤯
i'd play rust too
wdym
i mean i'd be fed up too at this point and just play some video game lol
chances are maybe the teacher is bugging and he actually means the probability that both lights are the same, but this is so stupid if that were truew
the teacher is calm but like he picks topics and it auto selects the questions
P(both red/both same color)
so i might have to tried that
wdym by same colouir
are you studying bayes' theorem?
no
no
so both red + both green is the awnser or is there smth aftr
so the condition is that before red red happen, both lights must have been the same
The probabilty P(B) would be green green or red red
since before red red happens, both lights must haven been the same color that's the condition
yh
You are calculating under the condition that both lights were the same, that red red occured
so really i was bugging not your teacher LOL
I think you can do it without bayes, just taking both red-red + green-green =100% so what is only red-red?
I think P(B|A).P(A) = P(A ∩ B)
P(B|A) would be that if the lights have been red red that it will be either red red or green green?
if P(A|B) = P(both red| both same color)
then P(B|A) = P(both same color| both red)
so what is the awnser?
it's okay, it's the same
P(A|B) = 1* P(A) / P(B) = P(A) / P(B) = (both red)/(both red +both green)
so the awnser should be 3/5?
yea i ended up with the same
(3/5) / (37/50) = 30/37
using bayes
IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!
FKING FINALLLLLLLLLLLLY
I LOVE YOU @agile stump @crude light
ty so much guys
its fine lol
