yeah I can help you, do you just need help with figuring out how to use the quadratic formula?
aite, so you remember the quadratic equation right? ax^2 + bx + c = 0
you kinda see how itโs in that form or close to it?
ok now in your quadratic formula you as well have a, b, and c
you kinda have to get the equation into that quadratic equation form, but if itโs already in that, than all you really gotta do is plug in and solve
so like x^2 = 3x as an example for one of those ones you gotta change
lets try 2x^2 + 2x + 24 = 0
sure
is that suppose to be 2(4)?
(on the top)
itโs fine man ๐๐
oh I see
Letme check rq
i can help too i am taking the sat s on march so i did go through quadratic equation s
whatโs up man ๐ค๐ค
hi how is it going with you
are you fine explaining do you have something i can help with
ya okay the first equation doesnt need quadratic formula we can use factoring
which will look like this (x-number)(x+number)
now the numbers to get them we need to check something in time table that gives us - 8 which can be 18 and 24 right but our issue is when adding these same number to each other they have to qive us -7
so the only two numbers are 1*-8=-8 at the same time 1+(-8)=-7
so inside the brackets will be (x-8)(x+1)
which will equal=0 because the main equation says that so we will take the first bracket then say x+1=0 then x=-1 same way to the other one which will then equal to x=8
but
for quadratic issue : first : the quadratic formula x=(-b+-rootof b^2 -4ac)/2a
secound the quadratic main equation is y=ax^2+bx+c
so how do we use the quadratic formula and ake use the quadratic equations main form
for example x^2 +5x-14=0 here in your question the first step is to write the main form ax^2+bx+c=0 so lets compare to the questions equations which : we have a=1 because there is no number then b=5 and finally c=-14
see now its easy all we got to do is plug were the quadratic formula writes b by the value of b we have in the equation which will be 5 then go the same with the others
try it then tell me how it works out with you
for the sum of quadratic you can use this rule sum=-b\a product= c/a
if that is the question then do it with the quad formula
