We don't really give out answers
but we are here to help you learn
so what have you tried so far?

What step are you on?
1. I don't know where to begin.
2. I have begun but got stuck midway.
3. I got an answer but I was told that it's wrong.
4. I got an answer and would like my work checked.
5. I have a question about someone else's work/solution.
6. I have completed the problem and don't need help anymore. Thank you.
7. None of the above

Hi, to explain it you going to combine like terms so the -4 and -10. Now since there on opposite sides you’re going to add 4 to the -10. Now you have 2x= -6 so you’re again going to do the opposite so divide -6 by 2 and you have x= -3
see, to solve linear equations one of the most common way is to use balancing method.
for example: 2x+5 = 4
here I can do 2x+5-5 = 4-5
and the equation will be balanced
this is because take an example:
"
1 = 1 is true
if I add 5 both sides
1+5 = 1+5
6 = 6 is true
"
back to the example, I will get 2x = -1
now I can divide both sides by 2:
2x/2 = -1/2
x = -1/2
Rules for cancelling each operation:
Multiplication -> Division
Division -> Multiplication
Addition -> Subtraction
Subtraction -> Addition
so now you may be able to solve the equations
its the same concept but in a more complex way
stop using chatgpt to answer people's questions
well I did organised it yk
hi sorry for late reply but do you still need help
I supposed that the person asking dosen't have a clear understanding so I was explaining him in the way our textbook had explained
it asking you to solve for x, meaning move everything in two slide
thats the transposition method
I wasn't talking to you
Sorry ig
can you start with question number 1
Until now we have dealt with solving one specific form of a linear equation. It is time now to lay out one overall strategy that can be used to solve an...
hope this helps
its fine
I already get it :))
