i’ve done it myself and i’ve gotten x = pi/2, 3.4 and 6.619
but when i asked chat gpt it says the answer is 4.71, 2.8 and 0.34
Trigonometry
$2sin\theta + 2 = 3cos^2\theta$
banzai
You can substitute cos²θ = 1 - sin²θ
And then substitute u = sinθ
and then it's as usual quadratic
i did that but when i find the x values
do i find it where sin is negative and then where sin is positive?
+2sinx not -2sinx
yeah
am i tripping
i’m just tryna see how chat gpt got that answer
Highlighted step is wrong
bro dont use chatgpt
ik but i’m tryna teach myself this
i have a luh quiz thing tmrw on a question similar to this
well there aint nothing much to it other than algebruh
This is correct
3 - 3sin²θ - 2sinθ - 2 = 0
yeah
-3sin²θ - 2sinθ + 1= 0
that’s what i got now
ok
yup
Should be +2sinx
but don’t u multiply out the negative
Both sin^2(x) and sinx should be positive or negative depending on how you solve it
Since you got the quadratic wrong you need to fix everything else up
how did i get the quadratic wrong
i ended up with the same answer that he got
I'm saying earlier. You had to fix this part therefore you need to fix everything after that
