turn the 9^2 into 3^4
and the same with the square root, it will be 3^1/2
you will get all the same bases
then i multiply the exponents to get 9/2?
when you got all the same bases you can ignore them
so you will have
x/2 = 4*1/2
and you can operate easily
it's a rule in math dw
no worries
Interesting I got the correct answer using logarithms but the other method sounds more intuitive
so the answer would be 4 then right?
Yep!
logarithms are really just a formal way of ignoring the bases, honestly
I got x=9
Wha ๐ญ
I just used logs and got 4 ๐ญ
Crap wait, where the hell did I get x-2 from ๐
Still works out to 4 tho
$3^{x/2}=3^4 3^{1/2}$

$3^{x/2}=3^{9/2}$

x=9
Oh gotcha
NO NO NO
^^^
I MESSED UP
i fixed it but thanks all
Sorry for the confusion, thank you @mystic venture for fixing it ๐ญ
