Someone please help me
Do you know what it means by all of the transofrmations?
So in a way I know what transformations are (which is why i knew it was concave up or down) but don’t know their names or how to find them

Math 2
Ahh now I understand
Mmm
@rose basin
I figured it out
I do have 1 problem I do not know how to do
Do you think you could help me figure it out?
I mean post it here
#7
How would I write the equation? I know the formula but I don’t know how to receive the information from the graph
I’m clueless
So look at the vertex of the graph, the translation from the origin (0,0) is your
b and c in $y=a(x+b)^2+c
then your scale value a is how much it increases by one step from the vertex
Alright
and walk you through the process
yes
So from there i got my vertex so
so now you can determine you b and c vlaues in your formnula
$y=a(x+b)^2+c$
catman
c is the shift up and down
where b is the shift left or right
Also I did an oopsie it should be (6,-5) point pairs are alsway (x,y)
close
no -5 is your up and down shift
ah
now for a
now for a
which would be what
recall a plain x^2 graph
you have points at (0,0) (1,1) (2,4)
stuck
a=2
you owe me actually learning that part though >:(
here i’m waking out but explain it to me either way
would a be the amount that it’s stretched from the vertex?
yes
