#WHAT IS 1+1 REALLY

is it really 2 or is that just a flaw? think about it, if you add 1 orange to a pile of 1 orange you get 0 oranges. this is because the oranges sit out for eternity ,eventually evaporating into nothing. in the opposing dimension of math there is many thing summoned into nothingness just to evaporate.
therefore, if x=every number/solution known to man
then x=0

but what is 0, exactly?
post what you think

tbh I’m pretty sure it’s actually pi

#

just a theory though

umbral plank
#

huh

#

still though

#

think about it

astral current
#

then everything is nothing

#

everything is 0?!?!?(?6?54:.4)$7!!7

yes

In physical reality, matter and energy are conserved. Even if an orange were to "evaporate" over time, it would transform into other forms of matter or energy rather than ceasing to exist. Therefore, adding one orange to another does not result in zero oranges; rather, it results in a redistribution of matter.

umbral plank

but would you still consider that matter an orange

#

or even millons of oranges

#

so does x=infinity

Your question is philosiphical than mathematical. In science, an object is tied to its composition and structure, whcih can change over time due to various reactions and such.

can we actually just dispose of the concept of math the closer the universe trends towards entropic decay

x=every number/solution known to man

That statement in itself doesn't make any sense. You're conflating existential philisosphy with mathematical logic.

umbral plank
#

but with this theory mathematical logic doesn't exist because x=0

#

and x =every number/solution known to man

As I said, that statement is contradictory and it doesn't really mean anything. You're making a metaphysical statement rather than a mathematical one.

#

Maths is built upon a set of rules called axioms that are inherently consistent. They define how numbers and operations should behave; your statement that the variable represents all numbers and 0 at the same time is silly in a mathematical sense.

matter cannot be created or destroyed 🧐

I’m only in calc I so take my opinion with a gran of salt. Math is like a logical framework we can use to model phenomena. You can’t model any phenomena if your most fundamental assumption is that everything turns to nothing and everything is equal to everything else. Math cannot be reconciled with this idea because making predictions/modeling at any level with this assumption is meaningless.

# unborn fiber I’m only in calc I so take my opinion with a gran of salt. Math is like a logica...

This is a good way to think of it, but let me interject some of my own opnions into it.

Math is like a logical framework we can use to model phenomena.
This is indeed true, and should be the key takeaway of the discussion. But math is even more abstract than that.

Math is just a set of ideas. That's it. Those ideas are useful if

  • They're consistent
  • They model what we see in reality

Those bullets are not requirements, but they're helpful. And if your system is inconsistent, then it's even more useless.

You can say that everything turns into nothing, but such a model is useless because you can't apply it to anything.

There is no truth in math in that you're not going to find evidence that math exists in the universe. It's just a tool that we can use to great benefit.

OP's idea is basically, "Should I really be hammering nails? Nails contain iron, and I need to increase my iron intake, so I should be eating nails, not hammering them."
