What type of functions

F(x) is the value of the equation your given

Y=x*2 +2x-8

In this example, y=f(x)

Y=2x-3

F(x) if x =3

F(3)2x-3

F(3) = 6 -3

F(3) = 3

I hope that’s what you meant, I kinda forgot how to do this but that’s the best I remember 😭

yeah thats what im working with, but i cant solve g(h(fx))) = 8

if f(x) = 2x to the power of 2

and g(x) = 4x + 4

and h (x) = x to the power of 2

those are composite functions

you do the inner most function first

so do f(x) first

then you'll get a value

say that is k

so you'll be left with g(h(k))=8

then do h(k)

and so on

so you start from the inside

these type of functinos are called composite functions
