basically t1+t2+t3 will do some amount of work in an hhour and the same of the second equation. Then you subtract and find the solution

A recipe calls for 3 cups of flour and 2 cups of sugar to make a batch of cookies. If you want to make 60 cookies, how many cups of flour and sugar will you need?

I know right answer for this one and I know how to visualise the first step of solving, but I don't understand why I can 1/21 - 1/24

yea so basically its like a linear equation with 3 variables

#

so we have x+y+z in a hour = 1/21

#

we know x+z in a hour = 1/24

#

what will y be
