#Coterminal angle help

add a multiple of pi, or subtract it depending on whether you need a positive or negetive angle
do you suggest putting the first question into radian and than subtract with pi?
or should i subtract it with 360 instead?
if the q is in deg, use 360. if it is in radians, use 2pi
question 1
positive-> 1260+360=1620
negative-> 1260-360=900
am i doing it right?
nono. negative angle literally means negative. so, you subtract some multiple of 2pi, so that
1260 - 360*n = some -ve number
the positive one is right, well technically, even 900 could be a positive angle 😅
just need to work on -ve angle
What does that mean?
this ^
i think its some mistake. it is -180. they prolly forgot to add a -ve sign at the beginning
do i keep subtracting 360 until it turns negative?
to get to -180?
yes
Also for 9pi/4
if i add 2pi it would not be equal to pi/4
it won't
see, there are inf number of +ve and -ve angles. you just need to give one angle for each of them
pi/4 is just one of the coterminal +ve for 9pi/4
not THE one. just A one
okay that makes sense, so what they wrote its just a possible answer?
yes. a possible answer out of an inf set of answers
