what's ther purpose ? because as tends to -infty, 1+(1*10^x) tends to 1 indeed
This isn’t a mathematical error, but more of a programming thing. Yes, your calculator is slightly off. Your calculator is not built to handle so many digits, as that would add more bits of data. Since the real answer has too many digits, the digits that your calculator cannot handle are simply thrown away in a process known as truncation.
1.00…01 = 1
Since it is 2 - 0.999… and you lot know the proof that 0.999… = 1, if not Google it
