You can solve with simple coordinate geometry. The integral just means the area under the graph from x=1 to x=9 and the average value can be calculated by taking the mean from 1 to 9
One more creative way of finding the average value would be to divide the area calculated by the length of the interval given, but that's purely optional and gives the same result.
