Thats an overly complicated way of doing it, but it is correct. Also I think you should write f(x)=x, x in [0;1] and f(x)=-x+2 for x in [1;2] and not (1;2] since x=-x+2 for x=1 so the function is still well-defined and the graph doesnt indicate that x=1 isn't included in the second part of the function.
