Alright. To solve in this system of equations, substitution seems to be the easiest solution.
I did substitution
Because in the first equation there is an x with no coefficient, you're gonna want to modify that equation.
Subtracting 3y from both sides results in
-x=9-3y
multiply the whole thing by -1 to get rid of the negative on the x
I thought you make it -4(-x+3y=9)
and then flip it to make 3(5x+4y=-26)
and you get x=-9+3y
so it turns into 4x-12y=-36
and then 15x+12y=-78
So -12y and +12y cancel out to solve for x
.... idk what that is lol but i dont think its substiution
OH thats not substitution
thats elimination
i usually use substitution because it tends to be simpler
less steps and whatnot
ok lemme see
ok from here you add the 15x and the 4x together
to get 19x
19x=-104
its 114
that might be ur problem
i j put it in the calculator lol
answer should be 6
lightbulb moment ๐
im a calc student so im attached to mine at the hip LOL
