Is this wrong or am I stupid?

In the sum where we have the evaluation bars, I can see that if n = +1, then the coefficent is +1/2 * j, and if n = -1, then it is -1/2 * j. But in the answer below it says n = +- 1, then -+ 1/2 * j, which I interpret as if n = +1, then the coefficient is -1/2 * j. Is this is a mistake or have I not understood something?
