For the c just fill in a point for example (0;6)

For vertical straight lines you can have the equation x = c where c is the x intercept

Kind of swaps the x and y

So back to y = mx + c

#

If you plug in 0 for x, it will give you y = c meaning (0,c) is on the line

So that is a proof that c is the y intercept

i collected 2 points on the line

and gradient is change in y / change in x
